 Sure, the pizza box seems obvious now

In the traditional story of the pizza box, Tom Monaghan’s pizza empire, Domino’s, developed the corrugated box in the early 1960s, marking a major advance in pizza technology. These wonder boxes could be stacked. They had vents. All around, the flatpacked, foldable corrugated pizza box was one of those small inventions that seem almost inevitable after someone comes up with it.

What’s fascinating is that many, many people were trying.

Pizza shop owner tries to pull that old “bag of mice” trick

Nikolas Galiatsatos owns a pizza shop in Pennsylvania. One day, he visited a competing restaurant asked to use the restroom. Then he stashed a paper bag full of mice in the ceiling of the men’s room.

Chefs were sent to Italy for training by leader Kim Jong-il, who said North Koreans should be able to try the world’s best foods, said Choson Sinbo.
Many people in the secretive communist state live in poverty and rely on food aid, but a wealthy elite can afford a more luxurious lifestyle.
An estimated two million North Koreans have died in famines since the 1990s.
