Fact: Richard Blumenthal is a big old douche for (at best) misleading people that he fought in Vietnam. Surprising, related fact: credit for his exposure probably goes to the campaign of one of his Republican opponents, Linda McMahon of Word Wrestling Entertainment (and Vince’s wife).

Linda McMahon was active in the wrestling ring from 1999-2001. During this time, she was in a staged feud with her husband, Vince McMahon. According to the storyline, Vince emotionally abused Linda to the point of a nervous breakdown, leaving her in a comatose state. Vince began a public extramarital affair with Trish Stratus as Linda watched on helplessly. Their feud reached a climax at Wrestlemania 17 when Linda awoke from her stupor and kicked Vince in the groin.
