Kenya should have a tea party, to celebrate tea

Good economic news from Kenya!

The Kenyan economy expanded by 5.4 per cent in the second quarter of 2010 compared to a growth of 0. 9 per cent in the same period of 2009, data from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics shows.

And what is one of the things driving this dramatic improvement?

According to the report, production of tea -a key foreign exchange earner – increased by 70 per cent and 38 per cent respectively in the first and second quarter, resulting in half year increase of 53 percent, the highest output since 2007.
