It’s kind of crazy that in one election, the helpless, demoralized Democrats have become the majority party in the country. And I don’t mean just in Congress. There will now be a majority of Democratic Governors and Democratic State Legislatures. Isn’t that a huge turn-around from 2 years ago when it seemed like the party was doomed forever?
I think no, actually. Instead of being painted as some enormous changing of the American mind, this election should just be a reminder of how slim the Republicans’ hold on government was the whole time. Bush’s “mandate” talk was always empty, and now we have the proof.
