Benford’s Law
I can’t remember who I was talking to. Or exactly what we were discussing. Or the point I was trying to make. But I’m pretty sure I was arguing something rougly similar to Benford’s Law, which states that in a random set of statistics, numbers whose first digit is 1 will pop up more than numbers starting with 2, which will be more common than those with 3, etc. (My own words, so I hope I’m not getting it wrong.)
