Such a Character
Cheney swears on the blood of his forebears to hold the Democrats responsible for blocking judicial nominees - Love the overblown headline and opening paragraph. Basically Cheney just confirmed that he’d do something that everyone always assumed he’d do. In fact, without his consent, the nuclear option doesn’t exist (it amounts to him ruling as president of the Senate that filibustering judicial nominees is unconstitutional), so this isn’t very surprising or exciting news. But I guess Cheney’s media character as the tough guy lends itself to this kind of storyline.
